Team inov-8 2012:Rachael Cuellar

1.) Primary sport(s):  Mountain Running, Trail running, Road Racing

2.) Team member since: 2012

3.) City/state of residence: Albuquerque, New Mexico

4.) Occupation: Rehabilitation Technician at University of New Mexico Hospital

5.) Goals for 2012: Run more half marathons, Try out for the U.S. mountain running
team, beat my time at Xterra Trail National Championship.

6.) Notable achievements/memories/ PR’s in your sport:  I was on the U.S. mountain
     running team in 2006, 2007, and 2008; placing 10th in 2006 and 12th in 2007.  I
completed my first and possibly last marathon when I was 26.2 years old in 2:49:18.  I
also am a seven time winner of the La Luz Trail run; a local Albuquerque race that
ascends 9.1 miles up the Sandia Mountains, ending at an elevation of just over 10,000
     feet.

7.) Favorite Inov-8 Gear:  I love the X-talon 190s!  These are my favorite trail racing
shoes.  They are light weight, grip really good on rocks, and aren’t afraid to take on
     mud, snow and ice.

8.) List one thing others may not know about you: I have been running since I was 7
     years old.

9.) Your favorite energy drink/food:  I’m not really into energy drinks or food, but I
usually eat a banana and some tortilla chips before I race, followed by some diluted
     Gatorade.

10.) Your favorite race/event and why:  Barr Trail Mountain Race!  This race is half
uphill and downhill.  It’s a little scary coming down, but it’s so fun to fly down the
     mountain.

11.) Advice to others:  Run because you love it!
