Very warm temps were reported from almost every event this weekend. Ryan Woods got 2nd OA in a speedy time of 32:10 at the Expo 10k. Amy Lane (pictured) won the overall female title at the Pineland Farms 50 mile in 7:48:43. Ben Nephew was 2nd OA for the men in 6:20:44. Dwight Shuler was 2nd OA at the French Broad Challenge Triathlon in 1:21:58. At the Wachusett Mountain Race (Race #2 in the USATF-New England Mountain Series) Jim Johnson took the overall win in 28:54. Abby Mahoney was the 2nd OA female in 35:58. Jim Johnson once again doubled up and raced the following day at the Redhook 5k in Portsmouth, NH. Jim got 2nd OA in 15:28. Yassine Diboun won the Forest Park 50k in a speedy 3:54:35. Peter Maksimow was 20th OA the Bolder Boulder 10k in 33:26. Jared Scott had a successful speed attempt at R2R by breaking the 30 year old record of Allyn Cureton by 37 seconds.
