Basham Breaks Barkley!


Jonathan Basham (photo courtesy of Ray Smith) became the 9th official finisher today at the Barkley Marathons his time was 59:18. Quite amazing.

Congratulations! I can't imagine how rough that course must be. 20 miles in 8-12+ hrs. That's insane!

JB, unreal!

It was good running with you for part of the first loop :)...you were so relaxed and chilled. I am in awe...what a mindblowing accomplishment!

I did one loop this year in perfect weather in 13h 33min. When JB did his 4th loop in about 14h and needed to do a fifth loop FASTER than the fourth, I thought, "There is no possible way." THANK YOU FOR PROVING ME WRONG - EXCELLENT ACCOMPLISHMENT!! Joe Kowalski, Cincinnati, Ohio
