The Asheville Citizen-Times awarded my wife, a well deserved Outdoor Athlete of the Decade honor for our area here in Western North Carolina. She had some strong competition with 11 area athletes being nominated and voted upon by a panel of local journalists, professionals, and athletes. Click here for a link to the story. Hard to argue against her for this honor, she sets the bar pretty high in our household. Congrats honey!!

No surprise here! Way to rock it, Mrs. Lundblad!!! Congratulations on a decade of awesome ultrarunning. I still remember when we first met at the Blue Ridge Burn in 1999? 2000? and you told me you were going to run JFK for the first time a few weeks hence...and then you won the race! Time flies...
It was 2000...Emma's first Halloween, and your first trail race, as I recall, branching out from the world of tri's. Who would've guessed that we both would now be running these crazy-long distances?!? But I can't take credit for winning JFK that year -- the victory went to Laura Nelson and I was a distant second.
Congrats! Hi Anne. Any plans on doing a Western States 100 or anything like that? You certainly go well beyond the WNC area with your success; just wondering if you had any plans in the higher elevation mountains this year. Your Frosty Foot 50k was a grat result!
"Anne Riddle Lundblad - WNC Athlete of the Decade". What an honor and certainly well deserved. A great big gigantic congratulations to one fine lady. Rick and Tammy
