Who's Racing This Week & Weekend

We are starting off the New Year in good fashion with the Freedom Park New Year's Ultra Run this Thursday, 12/31. You can choose from 6 hours, 12 hours, and 24 hour races around a 1 mile slightly rolling chip timed loop in Morganton, NC. New Inov-8 team member Dave James will be going big in taking on the 24 hour race. The 24 hour races starts at 8am tomorrow and finishes in 2010.

This Saturday is the Tsali Frosty Footfest in the Tsali Recreation Area in Almond, NC. There are 3 race distances to choose from at this Inov-8 sponsored event. Dwight Shuler will be tackling the 50k distance while Amber Moran will race the 8k course.

Nice way to bring in the New Year...good luck everyone!

Joe Grant and I are heading down to Bend, Oregon for the Badass 50k but this is pretty much just a fun run.

Happy New Year Team Inov-8!

Good point Dwight...you're absolutely right ;o) I guess I should have said it's not going to be timed or have aid stations, etc. ;o) In any case I'm looking forward to a nice long run to start the year off right!

Happy New Year everyone! The 24 hour event eluded me again in freezing cold North Carolina. I can't wait to get into some new INOV-8s and start training for 2010! The best park of a very boring 1 mile road loop in cold foggy conditions was the few miles that Mark came down to run with me. Although not a road show I switched to the 295's when my feel began to hurt and I was able to run a decent 100 split in 14 and a half before I ran out of dry clothes and decided to call 2009 a year. Freedoom Park was a great event and wearing a pair of INOV-8 road shoes my good Buddy Anthony Culpepper destroyed the 6 hour and 12 hour events and was well on pace to beat my 86 miles that I ran in the first 12 were it not for some stomach issues. I think he ended up with 82 in 12 hours :) I am off to the warmth of St. Kitts for a few months before I gear it up again for 2010! Run Strong!
