We'll get things started off this Friday evening at 5pm for the Rock 2 Rock Trail 10k here in Asheville. A mountain runners paradise of a course where you climb over 1.5k in elevation in the first half of the race, then scream down some extremely steep single track back to the finish. Definitely not your typical 10k. This race is a part of the local Mountain Sports Festival. Aaron Saft who finished 2nd OA last year, Meadow Tarves who won the overall title for the ladies and myself will be toeing the line.
Further south at Sweetwater Creek State Park in GA, the Sweet H2O 50k will be held this Saturday. Jeremy Ramsey and Sean Andrish will be battling it out again, much like they did at the Promiseland 50k back in April. There are a couple serious water crossings on the course and with the recent rains I'm sure the water will be high. Good luck everybody.
