Weekend Racing

Good luck to DeWayne Satterfield & both Mark and Anne Lundblad who are taking advantage of some early season action. They will have "home court" advantage if that means anything, oh yeah! It means sleeping in a little longer (: Dress warm, it may be a bit nippy out there. Anne and Mark will be taking on Mt. Mitchell 40m while DeWayne traverses through the unmolested singletrack that is Mt. Cheaha 50km in Crimson-tide country. I hear this is also an incredible course. My good friend Kim Holak was very excited about her experience on the course last year. One of the few point-to-point 50km's! I love point-to-point courses. It also looks as if Alabama will be hosting its first 100miler this year on some of the same trail as the Cheaha race in November. I'll be heading up to the northwoods to catch the Birkie.

I would also like to add that team member Dwight Shuler is racing the Black Mountain Marathon this weekend in conjunction with the Mt. Mitchell 40 mile. I heard he has a cool coach. Rip it up Dwight!

Yeah, I'm doing the 'Fun Run'. I'm planning on Mark and Anne pacing me up the first 14 miles. Then I turn around just when it gets steep.

I better have good results or I'm not paying my cool coach.

Good luck you guys. I'll see you at the finish line
